Chemical Peel

Chemical peels are exfoliation treatments which smooth out upper layers of the skin with the use a chemical or acid. Chemical peels have been performed in Canada and the U.S. for many years and are very common amongst those who have skin concerns. Bellair Laser Center offers Neostrata glycolic acid peels for the treatment of various skin concerns.

Glycolic acid (AHA) is an alpha hydroxy acid derived from sugar cane. It exfoliates the skin and contributes to enhanced skin hydration, smoothes fine lines and improves the skin's texture and tone. Glycolic acid peels are great anti-aging treatments that help the skin to regenerate itself. Glycolic acid is a popular chemical peel amongst young and older adults and those who want to brighten the skin.

Neostrata's peeling solutions were developed by renowned dermatologist, Dr. Eugene J. Van Scott, and dermatopharmacologist Dr. Ruey J. Yu, to provide highly effective, superficial peeling system. Neostrata's peels offer maximum bio-availability and free acid, along with a comprehensive range of acid concentrations. Neostrata's glycolic acid peels utilize 100% free glycolic acid for maximum bioavailability; the glycolic acid is NOT partially neutralized or esterified, because these processes reduce the penetration of the acid. Neostrata peels do not contain strontium nitrate to diminish the sensation of stinging and burning, because we believe that any skin sensations are important safety endpoints and evaluation tools in Neostrata peels.
